Pete Laburn:

Pete has a broad based career encompassing Human Resources, Marketing, Sales and General Management, focusing on FMCG / Consumer Marketing.

Having held executive positions in both FMCG and Insurance industries, as well as over two decades consulting experience in facilitating strategic, cultural change and leadership development programs for leading organisations, Pete brings extensive knowledge of the changing corporate environment. With his in-depth understanding of global, social and business trends and hands on experience in addressing the current business issues, Pete assists leading organisations and leaders catalyse, develop and sustain their businesses, through bold strategic thinking and contemporary leadership practices.

Whether as a strategist, facilitator, coach, mentor, teacher or conference speaker, Pete challenges organizations and stimulates leaders with his clear, refreshing thinking and style. Pete is infectiously positive and inspires possibility-driven thinking and the ability to identify and capitalise on the opportunities that the ever-changing world creates. Pete’s keen interest in people and the bush enabled him to co-create the Lead With Humanity programmes.

 

Graeme Codrington:

GCDr Graeme Codrington is an expert on the new world of work and multi- generational workplaces. He is a keynote presenter, author, futurist, facilitator and strategy consultant working across multiple industries and sectors. He blends cutting-edge research, thought leading insights with humour, a conversational style and multimedia-driven presentations to create unforgettable experiences that add real value. Victoria Duncan:

Victoria comes from an Economics background having achieved a Masters in Development Economics from the University of Stellenbosch. After 3 years in the Business Process Outsourcing industry, whereby she gained experienced in project management, business operating model design and solution development, Victoria decided to join Peter Laburn International in business.

Victoria’s key passions are the changing world and the macroeconomic, social, political and environmental trends that are emerging. With a heart for leadership and community, she has also been involved in various Corporate Social Investment initiatives and seeks opportunities where like-minded individuals can work together for a greater good.

As an Afro-positive, Victoria is passionate about South Africa, its potential and its people.

 

 

Frank Thompson:


After more than 30 years’ experience in diverse senior management roles and 20 years as CEO of listed companies, Frank has a proven track record of strategic leadership He has particular expertise in planning and executing turnaround and growth strategies, where he has learned to be wary of quick fix solutions, striving rather for sustainable people-driven strategies. As part of this journey Frank has worked with PLi for the last decade.

In 2015 Frank retired following his celebrated term as CEO of Advtech during which the Group’s market capitalisation increased more than 50 times. He is now an associate of PLi, sharing his insights about strategy and leadership with great enthusiasm while also learning from his clients.

Frank is a qualified CA whose BComm BAcc from Wits included English and Psychology. He is passionate about reading, sport, nature and leadership.

 

Kathy Harris:Kathy-Harris

Kathy has over 30 years of experience in business in Sales & Marketing, Operations, General and Executive Management roles. She has skills and expertise in Business Strategy planning and implementation, Leadership Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, Industry Pricing, Supplier Strategy, P& L Management, Project Management and Corporate Governance. She has served on over 10 local and international Boards of services companies, educational institutions and NGOs.

Kathy is currently a Leadership and Strategy consultant, and an Associate of PLi & Associates. Her passions include the development of leadership qualities in others through mentorship and coaching as well as facilitating effective strategy and relevant change in challenging environments. She is deeply committed to South Africa, its people and nature. She has travelled extensively both locally and internationally and believes strongly in work-life balance.

 

Niven Postma:Niven Postma

Niven Postma works at a senior and executive level in business, civil society and the public sector. Her career has seen her constantly move between strategy development and execution, working with diverse people, in diverse contexts, to pioneer strategies and deliver results. She consistently does so in a way that builds strong and effective teams; teams that in turn, successfully build the reputation and capacity of departments and organisations.

She currently works as a leadership, strategy and culture consultant, having recently completed a contract position as Head: Leadership and Culture for the Standard Bank Group during its strategy cascade; one which spanned all the countries where the Group operates and extended to all of the Group’s 55 000 employees.

Prior to taking up that role she was the Head of the South African Reserve Bank Academy, where she and her team were responsible for the delivery of all learning and development across the three career paths in SARB. She was initially appointed to the central bank in 2010 as its first Head of External Strategy.
